Tradition, Character & Pride
Gentlemen,
I am very proud of each of you. You set lofty goals for
yourselves this season. And although, you failed to reach them
all, you never stopped striving towards attaining them.
You were committed to the idea of team this year. This was evident
by your commitments on the ice, off the ice, and in the
classroom. Most importantly, you believed in the team and
all of our potential. I was truly sorry for each of you as I
wanted you to get everything you worked so hard for this season. I
feel you deserved it.
But, we fell short, in time you will value everything we did achieve
this season. We went 13-5-3. We won the only two tournaments we
were in. We defeated last seasons NYS Division 2 Champion- New
Hartford. We climbed to #2 in the NYS Sportswriters Division
2 rankings.
Seniors, you were tremendous leaders this season. I hope each you
all the best. You are now forever a part of Glens Falls Indians'
Hockey. You will be missed. "What you gonna do now,
Dirt!"
Returning players, what can you do to reach our goals for next
year? We need some of you to step off the periphery and into the
mix. Who is it going to be? How can you do that?
If you are playing a Spring sport bring with you the same intensity and
drive you showed this hockey season. Help make your teammates
better in your Spring sport. Help bring a sectional title in
lacrosse, baseball, and track to Glens Falls. We need to turn the
corner and reclaim the winner's attitude we once had. Believe it or not
this hockey season you started to do just that, keep it up!
