Kevin Vogel is a 2001 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for five seasons, 1996-01, as a Defenseman, wearing
#9. Kevin was a member of the Indian's 1998 Section II Championship
Team, 2000 Regional Championship Team, 2001 Section II Championship Team,
and 2001 Regional Championship Team. He led the Indians to two
NYSPHSAA State Tournament appearances in Utica. He was also named CDHSHL All-Star
his Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior Years and was named
"Defenseman of the Year" as Junior. Kevin is currently attending the State University of New York at Potsdam
and is a member of the Potsdam Bears Hockey Team.

Matt O'Connor is a 2000 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four years, 1996-00, as a Goalie, wearing #1.
Matt led the Indians to a Sectional Championship his Sophomore year and to
the New York State Finals his Senior year, where he was named "All
Tournament" Goalie in Utica. He was also named CDHSHL All-Star
his Sophomore and Junior Years. "Okie"
is currently attending the State University of New York at Potsdam majoring in
Math and Education and is a member of the Potsdam Bears Hockey Team.

T.J. Palmer
T. J. Palmer is a 2000 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four years, 1996-00, as a Right Wing, wearing
#15. T.J. led the Indians to a Sectional Championship his Sophomore year and to
the New York State Finals his Senior year, where he was named to the "All
Tournament Team" in Utica. He was also named
"MVP" of the Grandstander's Christmas Tournament his Junior year
and CDHSHL All-Star
his Junior and Senior Years. T.J. is also a member of the

All-Time Leading Scorers" list.
Ben Tefft
Ben Tefft attended GFHS and played Indians Hockey for
two years, 1998-00, as a Left Wing, wearing #17. During his Freshman
year, Ben was named "Indians Rookie of the Year", and was
elected to the CDHSHL Freshmen Team. He was also a member of the New York State
Finalist Team his Sophomore year. Ben is currently attending
National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, NY, where he is a member of NSA's

Damion Carpenter is a 1998 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four years, 1994-98, as a Right Wing, wearing
#5. Damian led the Indians to a Sectional Championship his Senior
year, and was named CDHSHL Honorable Mention All-Star. "Carpy"
is currently attending the State University of New York at New Paltz
majoring in Creative Writing. He plays New Paltz Hockey and

John Sipowicz is a 1998 GFHS
graduate who played Indians Hockey for four seasons, 1994-1998, as a
Center, wearing #17. Among John's achievements as an Indian,
he led the Indians to a Sectional Championship his Senior year, was
elected Alternate Captain his Junior year, was elected Captain his Senior
year, was a CDHSHL All-Star as a Senior, a Junior and a Freshman, and is
currently tied for Third on the prestigious
"Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list.
John then went on to graduate from the Northwood School, Lake Placid, and
is currently attending the State University of New York at New Paltz,
majoring in English. He is also playing New Paltz "Hawks"
Hockey serving as their Team Captain as well as last seasons "Leading
Scorer". John is single, plans a profession in Literature, and

Tim Shaw
Tim Shaw is a 1998 GFHS
graduate who played Indians Hockey for five seasons, 1993-1998, as a
Forward. Leading the Indians to a Sectional Championship his
Senior year and finishing his High School career as a member of the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list. Tim is currently attending New England College, majoring in Kinesiology with a
concentration in Athletic Training. He is currently the Captain and
President of the New England College Men's Club Hockey Team. Tim can

Dan Vogel
Dan Vogel is a 1998 GFHS graduate who played Indians
Hockey for five seasons, 1993-1998, as a Defenseman. During his
Senior year he led the Indians to a Sectional Championship. Dan went
on to graduate from the State University of New York at Canton in 2000,
where he majored in Business. While at Canton, he played for the
Canton Northstars Hockey Team. His Freshmen year the
Northstars went to the NJCAA Nationals, finishing third in the
nation and Dan was named to the NJCAA Rookie Team of 1998-99.
Dan's Sophomore year the Northstars won the NJCAA National Championship,
and he was named to the All Regional 1st Team and All-Star 2nd Team.
Dan is currently theCaptain of the State University of New York at
Buffalo.
Ryan Wise
Ryan Wise is a 1998 GFHS graduate who played
Indians Hockey from 1995-1998, as a Goaltender. During his tenure
"between the pipes" Ryan recorded a Sectional start his freshmen
year, posted six (6) shutouts, earned an Honorable Mention All-Star Award,
and went undefeated his Junior year. A hockey career ending knee
injury, which required surgery, kept him from competing in his
Senior year, and ended all hopes of post high school hockey.

Nathan Brimmer
Nathan Brimmer is a 1996 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for five seasons, 1992-96, as a Center and Wing, wearing
#9. Nathan was elected Assistant Captain and scored 43 points his
Senior year. He is currently attending Rochester Institute of
Technology, majoring in Electrical Engineering, and expects to graduate
May 2001. Nathan made his professional hockey debut for the Wheeling
Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League during the 1999-2000 season, but
was released after shoulder surgery. He is currently the Rochester

Robert Austin is a 1994 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four seasons, 1990-94, as a Left Wing, wearing
#11. Bob was a member of two New York State Championship teams and
was elected Indian's Captain his Senior year. He attended
Brevard Community College majoring in Air Conditioning Repair. Bob
is currently an A/C Technician, is married and has two children, a son and

Dan McGuire
Dan McGuire attended GFHS and played Indians
Hockey for three seasons from 1991-94 as a goaltender. While Dan was
an Indian he was voted Rookie-of-the-year, won a Section II Championship,
was voted Honorable Mention All-Star of the CDHSHL, and was MVP of the
Grandstanders Tournament his senior year. Dan graduated from the
Berkshire Prep School in 1995 and is one semester shy of a Public
Relations degree with a minor in math from Iona College. While at
Iona, Dan was a member of the Iona Hockey Team where he was voted MVP and
Scholar Athlete in 1996-97, and All- Tournament Team Quinnipiac Cup in
1998. Dan made his professional hockey debut for the
Adirondack Ice Hawks in 1999 and has played for the Knoxville Speed, both
teams from the United Hockey League. He is currently awaiting more

Ryan Donohue
Ryan Donohue is a 1993 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four seasons, 1989-93, as a Defenseman, wearing
#18. Ryan was a member of two New State Championship teams as a
Freshman and Sophomore, a Regional Finalist team as a Junior and a
Sectional Finalist team as a Senior. He was also elected CDHSHL
All-Star, Honorable Mention, and was named to the Clinton Invitational
"All Tournament Team" in 1993. Ryan graduated, Cum Laude,
from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1997 and is currently a Commercial
Airline Captain, flying for Continental Express Airlines. While
attending Embry-Riddle he played men's league hockey with several Tampa
Bay Lightning players. Ryan is single, resides in New Jersey and can

Christopher Brown
Christopher Brown is a 1992 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for three seasons, 1990-92, as a Defenseman/Left Wing, wearing
#21. Chris was a member of a Sectional and a New York State Championship
team. He was a High Honors graduate from the State University of New York at
Oneonta in 1997 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. While at
college, he pursued a career as an Ice Hockey Official, working for two
seasons in both the American Hockey League and Colonial/United Hockey
League as a linesman. He then went on to become a full-time Referee
in the Western Professional Hockey League, a position he has held for the
past three seasons and currently holds today. Chris was the Referee
for games 2 and 6 of the 2000 WPHL Championship Finals President's
Cup. He is currently pursuing a full time position in the National
Hockey League as an On-Ice Official, is single, lives in Texas, and can be

Jeff Mead is a 1992 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for four seasons, 1989-92, as a Left Wing, wearing
#16. Jeff was a member of a Sectional Championship team and two New York State Championship teams.
He was also elected to the CDHSHL All-Star team his Senior year and is a
member of the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list. Jeff went on to graduate from the State University of New York at Potsdam
in 1997, where he majored in Sociology. While at Potsdam, Jeff
played "Bears" Hockey as a Center, and led his team to a SUNYAC
Championship Title and as a NCAA Quarterfinalist. Jeff is
currently working for Polar Ice Entertainment as the Head Hockey Director

Kevin Schermerhorn is a 1992 GFHS graduate who
played Indians Hockey for three seasons, 1989-92, as a Right Wing.
Kevin was a member of a Sectional Championship team and two New York State Championship teams

All-Time Leading Scorers" list. Kevin went on to graduate from the State University of New
York at Potsdam in 1996, where he majored in Sociology. While
at Potsdam, Kevin played "Bears" Hockey for three seasons.
He is currently working for America Online as Service Delivery Manager for
the Sales Department in Jacksonville, Florida. He is engaged to a

Jason Krogmann is a 1990 GFHS graduate, who played Indian's Hockey from
1987-90, as a Center, wearing #8. Jason was a member of a
Sectional Championship Team his Sophomore year, and a Regional
Championship team his Junior year. As a Senior, he led the Indians,
serving as team Captain, to a League Championship, a Regional Championship
and to a New York State Championship, as well as being the CDHSHL's
Leading Scorer. Jason is also tied for the #1 position on the the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list with an incredible 183
career points.
He went on to graduate from the University of Vermont in 1994, with a B.S.
in Small Business Management. While at UVM, he played
"Catamounts" hockey for two seasons. He has also coached
at the Bantam level for the Adirondack Youth Hockey Association, and made
his professional debut for the Adirondack Ice Hawks of the United Hockey
League in 2001.
He is currently the co-owner of "Bullpen Enterprises", a local
Tavern, with locations in Glens Falls, Lake George and Saratoga Springs.
Derek McDonnell
Derek McDonnell is a 1990 GFHS graduate who played Indian's Hockey from
1986-90, as a Defenseman and a Right Wing, leading the Indians to a Sectional Championship his
Junior
year and to a New York State Championship his Senior year. He received
the Indians' Most Improved Player Award his Junior year. Derek went
on to earn an Associate of Architectural Engineering Degree '92 and a
Bachelor of Facilities Planning and Management Degree '96, from Wentworth
Institute of Technology. While at Wentworth, Derek played Varsity
Baseball, as a Centerfielder, ECAC Commonwealth Coast Conference Champions
1993, Varsity Ice Hockey and Varsity Golf. He is currently a
Registered PGA Golf Professional working at the Glens Falls Country Club
and is the Head Coach of the Jr. IceHawks youth hockey team.

Dean Williams is a 1990 GFHS graduate who played Indian's Hockey from
1987-90, leading the Indians to a Sectional Championship his junior
year and to a New York State Championship his senior year, as well
as being elected to the CDHSHL All-Star Team his last season. He
is also a member of the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list.
Dean graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1994 with a B.S. in
Elementary Education, and from the State University of New York at Albany
in 1995 with a Masters in Education. While at St. Bonaventure he
played "Bonnies" Hockey as a right wing and served as Assistant Captain.
From 1994-97 Dean coached the Albany Academy for Boys Hockey Team at the
Junior Varsity and Varsity levels and was also Head Coach and
Manager of the Junior Red Wings/Ice Hawks AAA Hockey Organization of Glens
Falls, NY, as well as the Head Recruiter for Hockey Options Atlantic of
Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is currently the Head Coach of the Queensbury Spartans of the
CDHSHL, and is a 4th grade teacher at the Queensbury 4/5 School.

Jeff Wood is a 1990 GFHS graduate who played Indian's Hockey
for four seasons, from 1986-90 as a Defenseman, wearing #4. Jeff
lead the Indians to a Sectional Championship his Sophomore year, a
Regional Championship his Junior year and to a New York State Championship his
Senior year. He went on to graduate from St. Bonaventure University in 1994 with a
B.B.A. in Accounting. While at St. Bonaventure he
played "Bonnies" Hockey along with former Indian's teammates
Dean Williams, Mike Vogel and Matt Carpenter. Jeff is currently
working for the United States Treasury Department, is engaged to be

Chris "Hambone" Hamlin is a 1989 GFHS graduate who played
Indians Hockey for four seasons, 1985-1989, as a Left Wing, wearing
#10. Chris led the Indians to a Regional Championship his Junior
year and was Team Captain his Senior year where they were Sectional Championships.
He was also a member of the Indians inaugural season and was voted CDHSHL
All-Star Honorable Mention as a Junior and Senior. Chris went on to
graduate from the State
University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelors of Science Degree in
Business and Economics in 1993 and is currently a Mortgage Banker,

Mike Di Fiore is a 1988 GFHS graduate who played
Indians Hockey for two seasons, 1986-1988, as a Goaltender. Mike was
voted CDHSHL All-Star; Honorable Mention as a Junior, Second Team as a
Senior. In his
Senior year Mike led the Indians to a Sectional Championship over
arch-rival Albany Academy. In 1993 Mike graduated from the State
University of New York at Potsdam with a B.A. in History and Secondary
Education. He then went on to receive his Masters of Science in
Education from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in
1999. While attending SUNY Potsdam Mike played goalie for the
Potsdam Bears joining the varsity team his junior and senior years.
Mike is currently a Social Studies Teacher at Warrensburg Jr./Sr. High
School and is the Head Coach of the Glens Falls Indians hockey team. He and
his wife Ashley and their children Kelsey and Benjamin reside in Glens Falls and can be reached at

Jeffery Pohl
Jeffery Pohl is a 1988 GFHS graduate who played
Indians Hockey for three seasons, 1986-1988, as a Center, wearing #7.
Jeff was voted CDHSHL All-Star; Honorable Mention as a Sophomore, Second
Team as a Junior and First Team as a Senior. He is also a member of
the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list as he led his team to a
Sectional Title over arch rival Albany Academy in 1988. Jeff went on
to receive his Bachelors of Science degree from Hobart College where
he played varsity hockey for four years, being named the Assistant Captain
his Senior year. He graduated from the Albany Law School in
1999. Jeff resides in Saratoga and is currently a Lawyer practicing in
the Glens Falls/Saratoga area.

Patrick Murphy is a 1987 GFHS graduate who was
a member of the Indians Inaugural Hockey Team (1985-1986). Pat played Indians Hockey for two seasons, as a Defenseman his Junior year
and as a Right Wing his Senior year, where he was named "Senior of
the Year". He attended Clinton Community College
where he served as team Captain, 1987-89, and was selected to the
"All NCJAA Team". In 1991, he graduated from the State
University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in
Elementary Education and went on to receive his Masters Degree in
Education from the State University of New York at
Plattsburgh.
Pat has stayed very active in local amateur hockey, serving as the
Director of the Adirondack Men's Ice Hockey League, and in 1993-94 his
team won the Adirondack Men's Hockey League Championship and the Troy Full-Check Hockey
League. In April, 2001 he was a "Gold Medallist" at
the Can/Am Games in Lake Placid, New York.
In 2001. He is
currently a Sixth Grade Science Teacher at the Glens Falls Middle
School. Pat, his wife Lynn, and their two children, Nolan and Andrew reside in

Matt Vamvalis is a 1987 GFHS graduate who was a
member of the Indians inaugural Hockey Team (1985-1986). Matt played
Indians Hockey for two seasons, 1985-1987, as a Defenseman. Matt
then went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Physical Education
from the State University of New York at Cortland. He is currently
teaching Physical Education in the Glens Falls City School District at Big
Cross Street and Jackson Heights Elementary Schools. He is also a
member of the Glens Falls High School Football and Lacrosse coaching
staff, currently working at the Junior Varsity level. Matt can

Jason Vogel
Jason Vogel attended GFHS and was
a member of the Indians Inaugural Hockey Team (1985-1986). Jason played Indians Hockey for two seasons, as
Left Wing wearing #15, where he was selected to the CDHSHL "All-Star
Team" and voted team "MVP" both years. He is also a member of
the
prestigious "Indians
All-Time Leading Scorers" list, with an incredible 2.05
points per game average. He is a 1989 graduate of Athol Murray College
of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. In 1989, he accepted a hockey
scholarship to Cornell University, where he played "Big Red"
hockey for four years, appearing in three ECAC Final Fours and one NCAA
Tournament. Jason graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors of
Science Degree in International Public Relations and Marketing. He
played professional Roller Hockey for two seasons, 1994-95, with the
Philadelphia Bulldogs of the Roller Hockey International.
Jason is currently Director of Public Relations for the New York Rangers,
resides in Burlington, New Jersey, with his wife, Thea and their German

Josh Needleman is a 1986 GFHS graduate who was
